I was just wondering if anyone could recommend some good resources for people just getting into AI? This site is great and has made very interesting reading, but other sources would help too. I’m thinking of books, articles, journals, web sites, anything really that will help someone who has no background in AI get upto speed with things.

Also, with regards to this site, can I suggest that some "recommended links" be added to the excellent front page, linking to other useful resources/sites? It would make this already impressive site even more useful then. Oh, and one last thing, why does the 'reviews' and the 'tutorial' link on the front page point to the same thing?

The front page is being changed in the new system, but it may be a while before it goes online. Until then, the new knowledge warehouse may be a good place to start.

I really can't think of many broad books, so it may be best to focus!
