I'm a psychologist but I'm interested in A.I. Can you help me?

• I'm a psychologist but I'm interested in A.I. Can you help me?

I have recently graduated at Organisational and Social Psychology, but I am interested in Artificial Intelligence.

I took this major but I’m not totally satisfied with it. I always wanted to complement it with an area related with computers, which is a field I was always interested in.

The area that interests me is the Artificial Intelligence and that’s why I’m asking for your assistance. I didn’t have any formation in this area, and for that I’d like to know your opinion whether a psychologist like me will be able to take place in the field of Artificial Intelligence or am I already at a disadvantage? Is there a field in Artificial Intelligence where a psychologist can act? Or it has only programmers fields? Do you have any recommendation for me? Maybe a book to get started with? Because I really don’t have any help from my teachers, since the field is not very actively researched, especially by the psychology faculties.

Thanks in advance for your attention.

AI is not pure programming.
Many of the ideas in the field came from biology, neurology, etology a great deal of inspiration was taken from insects' social interactions, so of course there is some space for you psychologist to act.
good luck with it
